Here is the perfect itinerary for a weekend well spent near our apartments in Cranberry, PA.
Tour The Cranberry Sample Schoolhouse
One of the first things you should do before exploring the modern world of Cranberry is to take a step back in time to the colonial period and explore the history of the traditional American schoolhouse. The Cranberry Sample Schoolhouse is the only one of six Cranberry historical schoolhouses still standing with tours that’ll bring you into the world of the American colonial student. Stepping inside, you’ll visit a classroom where technology was a far-fetched idea, papers were made of slate, and the one schoolhouse hosted six students at a time. And you know what the best part about this is? It’s all free!
Devour Sweets at the Flour and Sugary Cakery
The Flour and Sugar Cakery offers some of Pennsylvania’s most delicious cupcakes and treats. This award-winning bakery boasts an extensive menu that is constantly changing with an array of different flavored cupcakes and cakes. In fact, not only will you smell the aroma of sugary goodness, but you’ll find some of the most intricately designed cakes in all of Pennsylvania! From unicorns to galaxy covered frosting, their creations are one of a kind. On the bakery’s Facebook page, you’ll be able to find their daily flavors and offerings.
