Scenic Spots for Fall Foliage Near Our Cranberry Apartments

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of year, and Cranberry, situated less than half an hour north of Pittsburgh, offers a number of perfect places to view fall foliage in peaceful and idyllic settings.

Graham Park

Spend a relaxing afternoon at Graham Park to enjoy one of the best experiences the Cranberry area has to offer. Located a few minutes away in Fernway, the popular park features three short trails which create a three mile loop, and the 1.7 mile Brush Creek Trail offers a peaceful experience for walkers, joggers, and bicyclists. Graham Park's one acre fishing pond is a great place to relax and enjoy the leaves. The Scout Centennial Plaza, celebrating 100 years of Scouting in America, offers a quiet place for reflection where you can enjoy a good book from the park's Little Free Library. Thirteen lighted sports fields make the Graham Park fun for everyone. Ample accessible parking is available, making a visit to the park enjoyable for people of all mobility levels.

Cranberry Township Community Park

Cranberry Township Community Park on Rt. 19 is a tree-filled gathering place perfect for a peaceful day with friends - and Fido! Man's best friend can frolic at the Rotary Dog Park, which has two separate off-leash areas for large and small dogs. Dedicated parking and handicapped accessible fountains for dogs and people make Cranberry Township Community Park a perfect place to spend an autumn afternoon. Both Graham Park and Cranberry Township Community Park are open year-round from sunrise to 11:00 pm seven days a week.

North Park

For more fall foliage, make sure to visit the 3,000 acre North Park, about 20 minutes south of Cranberry. The 75 acre North Park Lake is the largest man-made lake in Allegheny County, and is surrounded by nearly five miles of natural woodlands. 119 groves and shelters provide perfect spots to rest your feet from walking miles of nature trails, and an ice skating rink offers cold weather fun. In addition to the beautiful scenery, North Park is a place to immerse yourself in nature and learn about natural habitats. The 250 acre Latodami Nature Center includes field, forest, and wetland animal habitats, honeybee and butterfly gardens, deer enclosures, and lots more. Thirteen nature trails let you lose yourself in the educational experience.
